So now that the new first chapter of the story is completed, it’s time to go back and revisit the original chapters, for the sake of continuity. I’ve decided to go back to White Haired Wanderer and Chasing Shadows and Feathers and begin the redrawing process to update the designs and in places fix the art problems that inevitably occurred as I was changing styles. It’ll be a chance to fix things up, update everything and even add some new pages in considering the original 3 page opening has now been relocated to Prologue, so that gives us 3 pages to fill in during WHW. They’ll probably be Yaenage pages taking place somewhat before the wyvern conflict and may help add some background to the enigmatic Arcard.
I realize this decision won’t thrill many people who wanted new story, but the fact is there’s only one chapter left to go for this story and it takes place right in the center, conveniently after CSF but before TDMP, so it makes sense to me to get to it after totally redesigning and completing WHW and CSF. At the moment I’m really just adding layers and polishing a product to make it something really decent, I’ve no interest in releasing a book that is despite all it’s qualities, still a mess in my eyes.
So to solidify the continuity I am going to delete the 96 original pages and gradually reupload them as they are updated, fortunately I will only have a few select things to alter and fix so this should be a rapid process and I expect I will be releasing pages every other day, though I won’t put any particular schedule on it because we all know I can’t keep to one especially if I try. I think the major loss in this regard is that any comments on those pages will also be lost, which to me is really the biggest tragedy, so I’d be ever appreciative if you guys could make sure to replace them and more!
I hope you guys can bear with this for a while, you may well be interested to reread the updated pages, you may find some slight alterations to the story or dialogue here and there if I feel there is room for it, so for now, please enjoy reading Hawkheir again and again, and I’ll continue creating it.
p.s. I’ve got a lot of ideas for the prequel, specifically a very fascinating antagonist whom I think people will enjoy, as of right now though I can’t say when I will be officially starting work on that part of the trilogy. I think I’d like to take a break from Legendaria once this is done and work on something unrelated for a while.
